This is a public repository for programs written by Ignacy Misztal and
collaborators.

Disclaimer
  All programs have been developed for our own research. They are believed to 
  be reasonably free of serious errors, but few attempts have been made to 
  make them resistant to errors in parameter and input files. Please use 
  them at your own risk.


Distribution
  The programs are free for research applications. Please contact the author 
  for information on commercial use.  In any case, please acknowledge the use of
  the programs in publications.


The directories contain files for the following:

BLUPF90      Newest set of programs in Fortran 90 designed for flexibility,
             ease of modifications, and power.

JAA          Animal model iteration
RENUM        Data recoding (renumbering)
REML         Single-trait animal-model REML
MTREML       As above for multiple traits; uses canonical transformation
MTC          As above, for several random effects
FSPAK        Sparse matrix package
THRESHOLD    Threshold model
CONTRIBUTED  Contributed modifications of above programs
UPLOAD       Directory where you can upload your files
DOC          General documentation on the use of renum and jaa20;
             suffix .wp means WordPerfect document, .ps means postscript, 
             and .asc means regular text.
MISC         Miscelaneous files inteded for specific people. 
PAPERS       Drafts or copies of selected animal breeding papers

Binary files may be out of date with respect to source files. All programs are
continuously modified. When noticing an error, please check the date of the 
respective file on this anonymous FTP, whether it has been modified in the 
meantime.
