Some serious bugs in RENUM were corrected last April. Please download
a new version.

If position of year of birth is specified but unknown parent groups
are not requested (0), number of animal effects in renum.jaa reflects
2 unknown groups rather than 1 needed.  This may be seen by
examining file renum.msg.  Problems can be expected if renum.jaa is
used as a parameter file for variance component programs, where exact
number of unknown parent groups is important.  To correct this
problem, either deduct 1 from the number of animals in renum.jaa, or
don't specify the position of year-of-birth.
